LifeSciences LCI 2025 Recap by Claudia Campbell

The Lifesciences LCI had an incredibly supportive, informative, and productive 2025, with insightful webinars and articles providing practical advice and tools to help us work more efficiently and effectively. The Lifesciences summer Hackathon was a great way to interact with project professionals in Europe.A major theme this year has been the use of Gen AI. If you haven't already read the article, "What Does Roofing, AI, and your Career Have in Common?", by the leader of our authors "marketing" team, check it here: PMINJ Life Sciences Oct 2025 . Kim both calls us to action to make the time to "proactively strengthen...AI knowledge and skills," and reviews several offerings from PMI that can help us reach that goal. The Lifesciences LCI continues its collaboration with the Rutgers iJOBS, with excellent workshops raising awareness of project management career pathways in the life sciences for emerging biomedical professionals and more. For more GenAI resources, look into these helpful links.

Also, the June 2025 Hackathon, a unique collaboration of our LCI with the Life Sciences Communities of Practice from the Belgium and Germany Chapters and hosted by PMI's Thought Leadership Team, continues to "spread its wings" with its learnings and more shared across multiple platforms (all of which are also accessible from the hackathon page Life Sciences AI Hackathon ):

Dedicated members of the team make all this happen for the LCI and the wider chapter, including:

  • Events/webinars: Patricia Young, Hemant Bobde, Tejesh Patel, Greicy Goto, Reza Tehrani
  • Marketing/articles: Kim Azzinaro, Archana Narasanna, Bhakti Kundu, Arun Ventkataraman,
  • iJOBS: Dave Dalessandro, Jompo Moloye-Olabisi, Yung Chan

There's more to come in 2026. Join the Lifesciences LCI and support the team's programming
